June Swimwear —

Yass is about to start the second stretch of her journey of travels around the world with her boyfriend (and best friend!). Through their travel blog Mapping Along and their instagram account, they document their travels while giving advice to travelers. Fun fact; she also has a slight addiction to coffee and loves to discover new coffee shops around the world.

JS : What’s your all time favorite June Swimwear style and why?
YG : I’m in love with the Louise top. It fits me like a charm and is one of the most comfortable bikini tops I’ve ever had – and I’m all about comfort! It almost feels like a really comfy sports bra.

JS : Why did you choose to put your ‘’ normal life ‘’ on pause to discover the world?
YG : I’ve always had a desire to go explore the world, but the urge to set aside my ideas of what normal life should look like really hit me after studying abroad during my university degree. After being away from home for 6 months, I knew I wanted to find a way to travel for an extended period of time upon completing my studies. I consider myself really lucky to have a partner that was willing to jump into this adventure with me! We spent a year and a half exploring parts of Asia, Australia and Latin America before coming back home for a few months and now we’re embarking on the next leg of our journey and I can’t wait!

JS : You’ve traveled to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Tell us which one is your favorite and why?
YG : It is so hard to pick only one! Tortuga Bay in the Galapagos Islands was one of the first beaches that ever took my breath away on my first real trip abroad in 2009 and it will forever hold a special place in my heart. I like to think my love for travel really started on that trip!

JS : We know you love travelling. What’s the next destination on the bucket list?

YG : I’ve been wanting to road trip around New Zealand for the longest time and haven’t figured out a way do it yet! Still working on that project to make it happen!

JS : What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned while travelling?
YG : Sometimes you’ve just got to let it go!

JS : Three things you cannot live without…ready, go!
YG : Coffee, camera, good company!

JS : What are you listening to now?
YG : I’ve had a crush on Hollow Coves for the past 2 years and have been listening to their songs on repeat.

JS : Any advice for girls who would like to travel the world but are too scared to leave their comfort zone?
YG : Just do it! Stop waiting for the right time, the right job, the right person and just go. You have to make the move in order to let yourself experience so many amazing things. The food, the feelings, the scenery… The people you’ll meet! It is all worth the discomfort that you may feel at first.
