During our trip to Morocco for the photo shoot of our upcoming Casablana collection, we have found for you the best places to discover in Marrakech and its surroundings. Whether you like to sleep under the stars of Agafay desert, rest up after a day meandering the streets of the medina or enjoy a traditional tajine… you’ll have plenty of new places to add to your Moroccan bucket list!

A true oasis in the heart of the Agafay desert!
It's a perfect place to enjoy the contrast between an arid landscape and the vastness of the mountains as far as the eye can see. The camp Lodge offers the possibility to its visitors to sleep under the stars of Agafay in a tent combining the traditional and modern, commonly called "glamping". At sunrise, you will be in the front row to witness Mother Nature's show rising behind the mountains. A little hungry ? The cooks will prepare you a typical Moroccan dish from healthy and organic food from their permaculture garden. You need one more reason? They also have an in-ground pool, yes a pool in the middle of the desert!

A haven of peace in the city of ocher!
Riad Yasmine is a typical Moroccan house with a garden and swimming pool on the main patio. The mixture of colors, different textures and smells of tea permeates the room transporting you into a purely Moroccan experience. It’s a place that allows you to relax while being located in the heart of the medina. A stop for a ginger tea is required!

A breathtaking view of the medina!
On the roof of this restaurant, you will be greeted with a spectacular view of the medina of Marrakech, its many labyrinths and the colorful markets that are housed there. We especially like the variety of tajines offered with traditional recipes. Despite the fact that we loved the place, it is a tourist restaurant which immerses us a little less in the local culture of the inhabitants.

The morning prayer
From the hotel room, we could hear the singing of the Muslims men praying at the mosque for the morning prayer, the sobh. It was a privilege for us to hear men praying and discover a bit more about this religion.
